The weather was crazy in February in Northern Virginia, with temperatures reaching summer levels for several days at a time. Yesterday it hit 80 degrees. Tonight we’ll drop back down to the 20’s. Rather than let this roller coaster weather add to the uncertainty-laden energy that seems to hang over my part of the country right now, I chose to celebrate the dependability of my stalwart early bloomers today by zooming in on their elegant details.
As always, photography proved to be an effective mindfulness practice, grounding my awareness in the present moment and reminding me that beauty is always in our midst if we only look closely enough.
Let me know which you like the best!
