Quantum Growth 101

by | January 31, 2023 | Life Lessons, Mindfulness, Motivation

Greetings!

Jumping in on this last day of January, 2023, to let you know how pumped I am for the year ahead. The stage is set for quantum growth!

I’ve dropped in the term “quantum growth” from time to time over the years. But what does it even mean?

The education website byjus says, “Quantum refers to a particular packet of substance or energy in chemistry and physics. The energy is not transferred continuously but as discrete packets of energy. It corresponds to the minimal amount of energy needed for a transition.”

The minimal amount of energy needed for a transition. Hold that thought.

Quantum growth is a shift that takes you from your current trajectory into exponential growth aligned with your highest aspirations, achieved with minimal amounts of energy.

Tiny Steps for Quantum Growth

I have spent the month taking a good hard look at all of my routines, personally and professionally, for an honest assessment of what is serving me and what is outdated. Which of my activities produce ease and flow in my life, and which lead to draining negative energy in my body and mind?

For example, after exercising first thing in the morning for many years, I have come to realize that my morning meditation routine and my 7 am ET meditation programs are my most essential inputs to keep me in alignment with my purpose and mission in life.

So I set the intention to cultivate an afternoon exercise habit. It’s a process, but I am clear on the need for the habit reboot. Step one is letting go of the decades-long story in my head of, “I can only exercise in the morning.” Step two is a lot of self-compassion as I build the new routine.

Another change I made, as mentioned in my last post, was to leave the gallery and artist cooperative that I had been part of for several years when I realized it wasn’t generating joy anymore. Even though I only needed to work there once a month, I was flooded with relief and a sense of luscious spaciousness as soon as I made the decision. My creative work will continue, but in more intentional ways.

Shifting the Puzzle Pieces

Balance is a moving target. The good news is that we have agency. We can pause, take stock, and set fresh intentions that reflect our ever evolving realities.

When we shift the puzzle pieces of our lives in ways that realign us with our deepest values and purpose, the Universe shows up for us in synchronistic ways. I have experienced this first hand these past few weeks, with new opportunities, new coaching clients, and pieces of my envisioned future falling into my lap. I’ll share more about my new offerings in the coming weeks.

What are your established routines? Looking at each of the puzzle pieces of your life, how would you answer the question, “Is this the best way to do this, or is there a more impactful way?”

In many instances, your quick answer might be, “Yes, this still works.” But maybe with one routine, you might decide to try something different. What tweaks or course corrections will realign you on a path towards your loftiest aspirations?

Is this the year you lean into quantum growth and new possibilities?
