Nature-Based Retreats

People walking through a path in the woods

Have you ever felt the calming power of nature, even when you think meditation isn’t your thing?

Maybe you can’t even put it into words, except for the magical feeling you get when you’re surrounded by trees, mountains, ocean, or even when you simply turn your face into the warm sunlight on your own back patio.

Here’s the awesome part. Science is now backing up what artists and poets have been telling us for ages: Nature is our secret weapon against daily stress and our portal to joy.

Nature models grounded presence, resilience, and acceptance of the ever-changing flow of life. Nature holds us in ways that soothe and inspire, reducing cortisol levels and blood pressure, while increasing our sense of well-being.

Would you like to experience this firsthand in a guided and empowering setting?

Join me as I team up with Nature as my teaching partner on a Damselwings Nature-Based Mindfulness Retreat.

We’ll weave together meditation, journaling, mindful listening, and gentle movement as we tap into nature’s power to ground our bodies, calm our minds, and nourish our souls.

You’ll go home refreshed and reenergized, armed with a toolkit of skills to settle your busy brain, connect with joy, boost your resilience, and discover a deeper sense of purpose in your daily life.

I offer periodic public programs at carefully chosen venues in the Washington, DC, metro area. Alternatively, I can facilitate a program at a beautiful natural setting of your choice for your group or company retreat.
