Greetings from San Francisco, where I’m attending the 10th annual Wisdom 2.0 Conference. I’m doing my best to drink from the firehose of wisdom shared from the various stages at this incredible event, which about 4,000 mindfulness practitioners are attending this year.
A few of the fascinating conversations have included the intersection of mindfulness and technology; Jack Kornfield’s words of wisdom “We don’t meditate to become better breathers, but to develop a trusting heart”; Roshi Joan Halifax and Michael Pollan discussing the history of guided psychedelic drug treatments for end-of-life anxiety, addiction, and depression and the risks and rewards of that reemerging research; mindfulness practice to support social justice; and why this particular point in history is leading more and more people to cultivate daily meditation as an antidote to divisiveness, negative energy, and chronic stress in our society. And that’s just a truncated summary of Day 1! So grateful to be part of this movement.
This is just a quick note since I missed posting last week. I spent the little free time I had on my Feng Shui February project, which I’ll write more about in a separate post.
Exciting Announcement!
My really big news, though, is that I received word a few days ago that I passed my requirements and am now officially a Certified Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute Teacher. YAY!
Having been fully immersed for the past year in achieving this goal, I couldn’t be more grateful. The training process alone has been transformative, both in my own practice and for my confidence as a teacher, a label that I once resisted but am now humbled and honored to carry.
The Search Inside Yourself curriculum will therefore be an additional offering of mine going forward, most suitable for organizations and teams looking for a thorough, intensive mindfulness-based emotional intelligence training program. Developed at Google and based on neuroscience, I truly believe this program is the most impactful in the industry. Please reach out if you are interested in bringing Search Inside Yourself to your organization. Learn more about it here.
And with that, I’ll sign off to prepare for Day 2 of Wisdom 2.0!
